Overview
The Purpose of Life Groups
“let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:24-25
Life Groups exist to help you grow up to full maturity in your relationship with God and with others. When religious leaders asked Jesus what was most important, He answered them simply, “love God and love people.” With that answer, Jesus defined spiritual maturity in relational terms and that’s what we’re going for with Life Groups.
Our vision at Lake Hills Church is to “grow the community of Christ one life at a time”. Life Groups will allow people to experience God and community in a new way.
A Life Group is centered on the belief that community happens more deeply and naturally when people “do life together” on a regular basis. Thus, Life Groups are assembled based on geography and/or life stage.
A Life Group is a small group made up of ideally 12-18 people who meet regularly to share about their lives, study Biblical truths, and serve the community around them. Each group will have a Life Host that will open their home for meeting times and facilitate Bible study time.
