HAPPINESS, HARDSHIP & RESILIENCE: Jesus through the Eyes of Matthew

Opinions about Jesus blast about like a tornado. The curious are hesitant to step into the whirlwind. Their questions go unanswered. The committed often become disillusioned.

Step out of the raging storm of opinion slinging, and SEE for yourself the facts about Jesus, followed by Jesus’ teaching. Then you can confidently decide how you want to move forward.

No matter where you find yourself today, we have created a SAFE ENVIRONMENT for you to learn more about Jesus .

Together we will SEE the happiness, hardship, and resilience of living a life by the example and teaching of Jesus of Nazareth. We will uncover five practical steps for living a resilient, God honoring life, which is not derailed by happiness or hardship.

HAPPINESS, HARDSHIP & RESILIENCE: Jesus through the Eyes of Matthew, will help you:

Heal from past hurts.
Handle the daily struggles of life with purpose.
Hope for the “messy now” and hope for the future.
Hold confidently to what you know to be true about Jesus.
Harness the faithfulness of God, to propel you forward with confidence.
Starts the week of September 19th. Sign up today and bring someone with you!

IRONMEN Hot Rod Experience: October 15th

Ironmen_2016_eebanner
Who
: Men (ages 8 and up)
What: National Hot Rod Association – Fall Nationals
When: Oct 15th, 7:00am – 7:00pm
Where: Texas Motorplex Ennis, TX
Cost: $55/person* includes transportation, lunch, and a VIP Event Pass

The Texas Motorplex was the first super-stadium ever built specifically for drag racing. To say the least, it was a very big deal when Texas Motorplex owner Billy Meyer opened its gates in 1986.

The Motorplex tradition of hosting big events continues from Oct. 13-16, 2016 as it plays host to the 31st annual AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals on the original all-concrete quarter-mile surface just south of Dallas.

The biggest names in drag racing will again battle for bragging rights, Texas-sized prize money, and the highly coveted Wally trophy when the Full Throttle tour makes its only stop in North Texas.

It’s big. Really big.

The margin for error, however, is, decidedly small.

Not only is the event on one of the quickest surfaces on the tour, it’s also the second of six Countdown to One championship playoff events. Win at the Motorplex to earn a chance at glory. Lose at the Motorplex and hope of earning the series title starts to fade quickly.

Champions are made at Texas Motorplex. Three of the four 2010 professional winners at Texas Motorplex went on to earn the NHRA Full Throttle series championship.

The 2016 event will feature highly motivated racers competing for the Texas Motorplex victory as well as a chance at the NHRA Full Throttle World Championship in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle. The top 10 drivers in each of the four categories – as well as seven sportsman categories – will bring the world’s most competitive drag racing teams to Texas from Oct 13-15, 2016. Don’t miss the action!

SPUR LEADERSHIP BREAKFAST – CHAD HENNINGS: OCTOBER 28

Spur Web
Spur Leadership Breakfast: Chad Hennings
Friday, October 28th / 7:00 – 9:00am
Lake Hills Church

Individual Ticket: $40
Team Ticket (10 Reserved Seats): $400

“In order to attain excellence one must first live a lifestyle of excellence.  Excellence isn’t a destination; it’s an identity.”

Chad Hennings has lived this message through a nine year NFL career and three Super Bowl Championships with the Dallas Cowboys, forty five successful combat missions flying A10 jets with the Air Force, and as one of the most decorated college football players in NCAA history.  Chad has taken this message across the world at the invitation of some of the most distinguished executive audiences ranging from American Airlines to Bank of America, General Motors to Citigroup, and a host of U.S. Governmental agencies.  He has also been a philanthropic leader in the Dallas Ft Worth area as a member of the board of directors of Christian Community Action, an organization that provides assistance to atrisk families, and the establishment of Wingmen Ministries.

Chad challenges audiences to dare to be excellent and inspires businesses to create cultures of excellence.  People and organizations don’t do great things to become great; great people and organizations do great things. Chad credits his post NFL career success to concepts he espouses on striving to live a life of excellence.

Excellence is a Lifestyle.
