Davis Lar Children's Home

Mission

The Davis Lar Children's Home exists to provide a home for high-risk children in Brazil. They seek to restore the children to health, provide a quality education and teach them skills to forge a productive future. By providing a caring and Christ-centered home environment, the children will make a difference in the future of Brazil and the Kingdom of God.

Partnership Focus

In June of 2006 we took our first mission trip to the Davis Lar Children's Home. It was an amazing experience for all our team members, and we completed light construction projects, provided Biblical teaching for the children and also shared the Gospel with children in the local community. We took our 2nd trip to the Davis Lar June 22 – July 4, 2007. There were a total of 18 team members who went on this trip, and they again shared a life-changing experience.

Get Involved!

Beyond traveling to Brazil, you can support Davis Lar and impact lives through their child sponsorship program! The Davis Lar relies 100% on sponsorship support in order to care for the children, and the funds received through this program cover everything from toilet paper to medical care.

Sponsor a Child

One of the primary ways that people in our church can partner and support the Davis Lar Children's Home is by sponsoring a child. This involves a monthly financial contribution as well as a relational commitment through writing letters, praying for the child and sending a card/gift at birthdays and Christmas. All financial contributions go directly towards meeting the needs of all the children including food, shelter, education and medical needs. Investing in a child through this sponsorship program is a tangible way to express your love and care for a boy or girl who needs it so much.
