Superhero Day: Lake Hills Kids
SUPERHERO DAY is going to be SUPER fun! Lake Hills Kids are invited to come to church with their favorite superhero gear on and join us for a SUPER awesome service on Sunday! We’ll have some SUPER games, prizes, and a lesson from the Bible about what gives us SUPER strength! See you there!
Special Guests: Leif Babin & Debbie Lee
On April 28 at 9:15 + 11:00, Pastor Mac will host an inspiring interview featuring Debbie Lee and retired Navy SEAL Leif Babin. Debbie is CEO and Founder of America’s Mighty Warriors, one of Lake Hill's strategic ministry partners. She founded AMW to serve veterans and Gold Star Families after her son, Marc Lee was killed in action in Iraq.
Leif Babin, former SEAL officer and co-author of Extreme Ownership with Jocko Willink, served with Marc Lee in Task Unit Bruiser and coaches C-Suite executives through his business consultancy, Echelon Front. Through their military, business, and non-profit endeavors, Debbie and Leif bring a wealth of insight and experience to the Lake Hills Family.

Baptism
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision to follow Jesus. If you have made a personal decision to step into a relationship with Christ and have not yet been baptized, we invite you to consider signing up for our May 5 baptism. Volunteer Training: Lake Hills Kids
It is our goal to make Sunday a kid's favorite day of the week. Of course, we have great programs and fantastic environments, but what makes Sunday fun and impactful to a kid is YOU!
If you're down to facilitate some fun and join us in growing the community of Christ one child at a time, then we would love to host you at our next Kids Leader Training. At this event, you'll get to hear our heart and strategy behind the three phases of kid ministry: nursery, preschool, and elementary. You'll also receive practical training on how to best lead kids and facilitate environments that promote a fun learning experience. Plus, we'll hook you up with some pizza for lunch!

Kid Faith Class: Lake Hills Kids
If your child is interested in taking the next step in their faith or is simply ready to learn more, Kid Faith is perfect for them! This parent-child class is designed to guide them through the ABCs of following Jesus and initiate conversations about baptism. Our goal is to provide clarity to kids regarding their relationship with Christ, while also equipping parents with useful language and ideas to continue the conversation at home.

Student Worship Night: Middle + High School
Calling on ALL students to join us for a combined worship service on Wednesday, May 8 at 7:00pm in the Student Building! Middle schoolers and high schoolers alike will not want to miss this amazing night of worship as we take time to praise our God together!
Mother’s Day with Special Guest Speaker: Julie Richard
On Mother’s Day, during the 9:15 + 11:00 services, we have our very own Julie Richard as a guest speaker! Julie’s experience covers a diverse background which includes special education, elementary reading, early childhood development, children’s ministry, and student ministry. Today she has the opportunity to combine her unique set of experiences and apply all she’s learned to empower moms with the skills and tools needed to actually ENJOY parenting their kids. This message won’t be just for moms. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy hearing the message she has prepared for us! See you there!
Student Senior Recognition
Join us on Sunday, May 19, at our 9:15 service for a special moment dedicated to celebrating and honoring our graduating seniors in front of our Lake Hills family. Each senior will take the spotlight, personally introduced on stage. Pastor Mac will share words of encouragement, speaking directly to the graduating class, and we'll conclude with a moment of heartfelt prayer over their journeys ahead.

On May 26, we have the honor of having Anthony Evans, Jr. as a special musical guest during both the 9:15 + 11:00 services! You will not want to miss this!

Communion
As part of the morning services on June 2, we will take a moment to remember the sacrifice of Jesus - His broken body and shed blood - by participating in communion. Everyone is welcome at the services, and those who have entered into a relationship with Jesus are invited to join in communion. We look forward to this time of reflection and remembrance as we follow Jesus’ words to “do this in remembrance of Him” (Luke 22:19).
VBS 2024: Making Madness
VBS is our favorite event every year, and this year we are taking it to the next level! We will be exploring the story on Daniel in the Bible and find out how he made it in a world filled with madness. With the help from our resident inventor, Professor Haywire, we will be putting together a slew of odd inventions that may or may not help us along our adventure. You'll be able to put on your inventor hat and join in on the fun as we figure out what it takes to be like Daniel and stand strong in a crazy world! Kids entering Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to join for these 4 days full of FUN with age-appropriate songs, skits, games, competitions, service projects/crafts, and of course some snacks. Join us on an adventure as we learn about relevant truths from the Bible and how they can impact our everyday lives.

Father's Day with Special Guest: Chris Webber
Celebrate Father's Day with us as we present a unique opportunity to hear from Chris Webber, a basketball legend! Join us for an exclusive interview with the four-time NBA All-Star, five-time All-NBA Team member, former NBA Rookie of the Year, and former number one overall NBA draft pick.
Millions of fans know Chris Webber best for his outstanding athletic ability on the basketball court but C-Webb, as he is affectionately known, leads the pack in more than just sports. He has a wide range of business endeavors including the Webber/ Gilbert Media Group which produces feature and documentaries films, as well as live events, cultural exhibitions, and music projects. At the podium, Webber inspires audiences with the story of his stunning ascent in basketball, his philosophy for overcoming failure and adversity, and the importance of giving back to the community.
TRIBE: High School Camp
TRIBE is for high school students entering freshmen year through graduated seniors (Fall 2024). We have an incredible week planned full of intentional teaching, quiet time, worship, theme nights, and activities that include: white-water rafting, mountain-side adventure park, day hiking, and so much more! There will be plenty to do for both the highly adventurous and those that prefer to observe and take it all in! Plus, an intensely strategic game of SURVIVOR will be threaded into each day culminating in only ONE SURVIVOR TEAM champion. We're excited to get into the mountains and experience the incredible view all while growing as a student ministry and as individuals.

Jolt Summer Nights: Elementary Camp
Kids entering 3rd-5th grade are invited to join us for FOUR action-packed evenings of fun at JOLT SUMMER NIGHTS! We're bringing all the exciting and memorable elements of summer camp right here to our local area! We'll kick off at Lakeway Swim Center and meet back up at Lake Hills Church for three more evenings of FUN! Kids will be grouped by grade level for fun competitions, and we'll wrap up each night altogether with songs, games, and an amazing Bible story.
Oh, and there will be inflatables, waterslides, laser tag, real-life Mario Kart, and so much more! Dinner will be provided from a few of our favorite spots like P. Terry's, Raising Cane’s, and Domino's Pizza. This is an experience your kid won’t want to miss and we hope to see them there!
United: Middle School Camp
We absolutely can’t wait to head to camp this summer with our middle school students for a week at Lakeview Camp & Retreat Center, led by the LHC Students team, where they will experience engaging worship and teaching, and a reset before the school year begins.

Time changes are tough, but on Sunday, March 10 in the Kid’s building, it doesn’t have to be! Your kiddos get to roll out of bed and come to church in their favorite pajamas. There will be donuts and a fun-filled Sunday service waiting for them to kick off the spring!
Rodeo Roundup: Lake Hills Kids
On Sunday, March 3, your kiddos are invited to join us in the Kids Building for the rootinest, tootinest, most wild time in the west! Our elementary and preschool cowgirls + cowboys will get a roping demonstration during both services, plus there will be cookies from Cookie Dough Cowgirl! As you walk up to this Rodeo Roundup, have your little one keep their eyes peeled for some horses and ropers, ya hear? Can’t wait to see y’all there in your best western flair!
Parenting Adult Children with Dr. Jim Burns
For parents navigating the high school years and beyond, including empty nesters. Parenting doesn’t stop when a child reaches the age of eighteen. In many ways, it gets more complicated. Parenting expert, Dr. Jim Burns helps parents navigate the toughest and most rewarding parts of parenting grown kids. Dr. Burns highlights positive principles such as bringing kids back to faith, ideas on how to leave a legacy as a grandparent, and encouragement for every changing season. Christmas Party: High School Students
On December 20 from 7-8:30pm, our high school students are going to PARTY like it’s the MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR because it is! Festivities include a taco bar, games, prizes, and ugly sweaters as far as the eye can see!
After the Christmas party on December 20, our high schoolers will not be meeting on December 27 OR January 3, but will be back in full force on January 10!
Study Break Service: High School Students
We know finals are no fun and studying is HARD so our LHC Student ministries will have an encouraging message for high schoolers on Wednesday, December 13 as they finish the semester strong. So please encourage them to come take a breath and relax before hitting the books again.

Whether you're new to Lake Hills or if you've been here since the beginning, this is the perfect event to put on your calendar. For those new to the Lake Hills family, you will have the opportunity to meet Pastor Mac, Julie, and the staff family as well as other church family members. This is a low-key, no-agenda gathering. Our only focus is to have intentional visiting time over some awesome pizza!

High School Monster Mash
It is officially Spooky Season and we are calling on all high schoolers to get ready to boogie at our Monster Mash! On Wednesday, November 1 at 7:00pm in the Student Building there will be games, an epic costume contest, delicious food, and a whole lot more fun and frolics!
Super Sweet Sunday
The Super Sweet Sunday fun starts early for Lake Hills Kids on Sunday, October 29. Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes to church! We've got some extra special and oh-so-sweet services planned! Your kids will dive into a world of games, sing their hearts out, score cool prizes, absorb an incredible Bible lesson, and leave with pockets full of sweet treats.
Fearless Parenting with Mac & Julie: Little Kids
This workshop is for parents of babies through elementary kids! Parents of every age and life stage feel overwhelmed and under-equipped, so we want to give you some practical, biblical tools to parent your child with courage, purpose and laughter…yes, you can ENJOY this parenting thing! In this workshop, parents will learn to articulate a family vision statement and how to parent toward that vision, equipping kids to become resilient, competent, independent adult kids!
Cost is $10 per person, which includes a spiral. Plus, childcare will be available!

Middle School Dodgeball Tournament
Dodge. Duck. Dip. Dive. Dodge. Assemble a team of four middle schoolers to come and dominate in our middle school dodgeball tournament on Sunday, October 22 after the 11:00am service at the Student Building. Parents, make sure your kids join us for POP! Sunday on October 15 at 9:15am + 11:00am! Wondering what POP! Sunday is all about? It's our special way of adding some extra excitement to our services.
