Fall Men’s & Women’s Groups
STUDY OF 1 SAMUEL
Join a Bible study group this Fall and get ready to dive into 1 Samuel!
If you enjoy reading adventure stories with intrigue, battles, and larger-than-life heroes overcoming impossible odds to conquer the "bad guys," you will love 1 Samuel. Its characters include a giant, a witch, a demon-possessed king, an outlaw band that rivals Robin Hood's, and a shepherd boy who becomes a fugitive and later becomes a king. But 1 Samuel is not a fable or a script for a sci-fi movie. It’s an accurate historical record of events that occurred about a thousand years before Jesus, in the land of Israel, and of the people who participated in those events. In addition, 1 Samuel transitions us to a whole new "chapter" in God’s redemptive plan for humanity. God’s people become a "kingdom"—a kingdom that will rise and fall, only to rise again permanently.

FAITH BEGINS HERE: JOHN’S STORY OF JESUS
In this six-session study, we will discover that John didn't write his Gospel just to tell us about a profound teacher or a powerful miracle worker. Rather, his purpose was to tell us about the very Son of God who came to this earth so that we "may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10). John challenges us to trust in Christ and to demonstrate our faith in him through the way we live and love others.

God is ____: New Message Series
“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” -A.W. Tozer
Though it might sound like pastoral overreach, Tozer's declaration stubbornly stands the tests of time, intellectual scrutiny, and practical observation. Everyone places something or someone at the center of their lives. It may be God, a person, self, altruism, success, pleasure, influence, power, or even their children's success or happiness. We all place something at the center of our lives that drives everything we believe, do, and say. Whatever that something or someone may be, it functions either as God or a god. What we believe about God determines the basis for everything else we believe and do in our lives.
This new message series, God is ____, begins on Sunday, September 29 at 9:15 + 11. Join us in exploring the biblical foundations of sound theology that anchors our lives in reality and invigorates us with purpose and significance.
Middle School Dodgeball Tournament
Dodge. Duck. Dip. Dive. Dodge. Plus, there will be delicious pizza, custom Nike Dunks for the entire winning team, and a boatload of laughter and excitement!
Special Guest: Trey Gowdy
To wrap up the message series, STRONG ENOUGH, we’ve invited former U.S. Congressman Trey Gowdy to be a part of our services on Sunday, September 22 at 9:15 + 11.
As a committed Christian, biblical scholar, and Constitutional expert, Trey is deeply passionate about how our faith transcends political divisions. We’re not here to wave a Republican or Democratic flag; we’re here as the Bride of Christ, committed to praying for and working toward the flourishing of our communities and nation.
Together, we’ll examine what it means for us as followers of Christ to have our faith interact with, intersect, and influence politics. No matter where you stand politically, this service will equip us all to be more Christ-like, living as the salt and light we’re called to be in this broken, fallen world. Please join us as we explore this growing intersection of theology and governance, addressing critical issues from a biblical perspective.

Teen Talk with Dr. Chinwé Williams & Will Hutcherson
Helping Teens and Young Adults Break Free From the Anxiety Spiral
This workshop is for parents, educators, coaches, and leaders of preteens & teens.
Anxiety is a normal human response to stressful circumstances. But sometimes anxiety takes more control over us than we would like, and we find ourselves stuck in a cycle of fear and anxious thoughts. That cycle (sometimes called the spiral of anxiety) can leave us feeling overwhelmed, helpless, and exhausted.
Teenagers and young adults already have a lot on their minds, with the pressures of keeping up grades, navigating their future, and keeping their social life intact. Anxiety can make life even more difficult.
In this workshop, Will Hutcherson and Dr. Chinwé Williams will help parents discover the lies that can keep teens spiraling in anxiety. Then they'll share the truths to replace those lies, along with practical strategies to help teens break free from the cycle. Will and Dr. Chinwé seamlessly combine both faith and psychology to provide parents tools to help their teens stop believing the lies of anxiety and to thrive instead of just surviving life.
For more information or if you’d like to attend this workshop on August 25 at 5:00, please SIGN UP HERE.
